Green Building Focus Conference & EXPO 2010

August 24, 2010

Following the overwhelming success of the 2009 Green Building Focus Conference & EXPO organizers have now turned their sights to 2010. Thousands of Green Building Professionals and decision-makers from around the Southeast will once again attend the Green Building Focus Conference & EXPO in 2010 which is set to be even bigger than the 2009 event. James Smith, President and CEO of Green Building Focus, has announced that the event will once again be held in Birmingham, Alabama on August 24th-26th, 2010. “This year's event will be much larger and will have more of an international feel”, says Smith, “our goal is to have the latest green building innovations from around the world on display and attract the leading built environment professionals, government representatives and investors interested in green products and services”. Organizers have also started the process of booking the foremost leaders in green building for keynote addresses.

Green Building has become the construction trend of the decade and is expected to pump $554 Billion into the American economy over the next four years.

  • Government is demanding green construction in a bid to limit the drain on resources while maintaining the current levels of development.
  • Corporations are occupying green buildings to lower operating expenses and to demonstrate their environmentally sound judgment.
  • Home buyers are looking for green homes to reduce their utility costs and because they care about their children's future.
  • Developers are committed to green construction because of pressure from consumers and to meet market demands.
Green Building Focus will bring thought leaders from global markets to join leading U.S. experts on the topic of sustainable development in order to educate and motivate regional built environment professionals as well as government officials and interested investors on the latest international trends, techniques, technologies and materials in green building. Practical, case-study based presentations and breakout sessions will be complemented by an exhibition of more than 300 green products and services.
