USGBC Students: Who are they?

USGBC Students are college and university-based student groups, where students from any discipline come together to learn about and advance USGBC’s mission to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life.

Where will these groups be located?

USGBC Students will be chartered and officially recognized student groups on college and university campuses across the country.

What do they do?

Student all across America are passionately pursuing sustainability issues on their campuses and in their own lives. USGBC wants to partner with college and university students so you can lead by example and take action on your campus. There are all sorts of creative ways to get started, from advocating for LEED with your campus decision makers to running an energy audit on a residence hall to having a recycling competition among various departments on campus. USGBC Students has been created to support your creativity and help you develop your leadership strengths. And while we have some ideas to get you going, we’re looking forward to the ideas you come up with to green your campus and community.
