USGBC ALabama Chapter
LEED for Commercial Construction
The Committee is closely co-ordinated statewide in order to devise and deliver a realistic and effective commercial market program in all Branch areas in 2009. Possible elements of the program (to be finalized in 1st Qtr) to be chosen from the listed elements in National's proposal (plus any new ideas from the Committee):
- work with Programs Committee to put on a Green Operations Presentation aimed at property owners and managers
- (could lead to a Property Managers Networking Group and/or Green Operations Summit if there is sufficient interest)
- work with Programs Committee to host a "Broker Power Breakfast", with National's help
- follow-up with a Commercial Brokers Network Group, if interest is great enough
- work with Programs Committee to market an EBOB workshop and perhaps attach special event
The ideal size of the Committee, frequency of meetings, and time commitment to be determined by the Statewide Commercial Advocate in consultation with the Commercial Committee Chairs at the Branch level. The Statewide Commercial Advocate, a Chapter Board member, reports to the Board and to the Commercial Market Program at National. Statewide Commercial Advocate: Nick Dill; NDill@robinsmorton.com
