USGBC North Alabama Christmas Party
History and Information
The North Alabama Branch is one of four branches in the USGBC Alabama Chapter. Formed in August 2008, our Branch has seen amazing growth in a short amount of time. In line with the USGBC, our main goal is to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built, and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life. By partnering with the USGBC, state and local authorities, and professionals in the building industry, we will continue to promote sustainability until it is the accepted standard in our area.
The USGBC Alabama Chapter is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, voluntary organization. All Branches of the Alabama Chapter operate under the same tax agreement. The North Alabama Branch consists of the following counties in Alabama: Cherokee, Colbert, Cullman, Dekalb, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan.
The North Alabama Branch depends on the volunteer efforts of regional green building advocates, revenues from events, dues from local members and generous support from chapter and event sponsors.
How to Become a Member
Become a National Member
National membership is for organizations only. When an organization joins as a National Member, it enables all employees of that organization to become Full Members in the local USGBC Chapter, as well as provides significant discounts for USGBC materials, events, workshops, exams, etc. This also lists that organization on the USGBC National Member directory. The easiest way to join is through the USGBC's website: http://www.usgbc.org.
Before you get started with the membership process, you will need to create a username and password to gain access to the website.

Are you an individual?
Join a Chapter
Chapter Membership is for individuals wishing to become involved with the USGBC at the local level. Membership in the Alabama Chapter is separate, and in addition to, membership at the National level. As such, dues associated with being a local member are separate from the dues that your organization pays to be a USGBC National Member. Chapter dues are discounted for individuals who are employed by a National Member organization. If your company is not a USGBC National Member, you can still join the Chapter as an Associate Member.
Cost of USGBC Alabama Chapter Membership is as follows:
- $45.50/person for Full Members
- $65/person for Associate Members
- $26/Students
